i-MATH SHORT COURSE on Numerical Simulation in Electromagnetism and Industrial Applications (February 22nd-25th 2010) This short course is intended for young researchers who want to initiate into the applications of mathematics in electromagnetism and, more specifically, into numerical methods and industrial problems. SCHEDULE: The course is composed of 3 lectures (all the lectures will be delivered in English): 1) Mathematical models in electromagnetism Alfredo Bermúdez de Castro, Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, Spain 2) Mathematical and numerical analysis of different formulations Alberto Valli, Università degli Studi di Trento, Italy Salim Medhahi, Universidad de Oviedo, Spain 3) Electromagnetic losses. Application to electric machines Luc Dupré, Universiteit Gent, Belgium The course will be held in the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Santiago de Compostela, Santiago de Compostela (Spain) from February 22nd -25th (Monday-Thursday). The course is now open for registration. Attendance is free of charge, but registration is mandatory.
