The application period is now open for the thesis to be submitted by SeMA for the "ECCOMAS Award for the Two Best Ph.D. Theses of 2025 on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences and Engineering."
Candidates for the award must have defended their doctoral thesis on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences and Engineering during 2025 at a university or research center located in Spain.

Subject: ECCOMAS Award for the Two Best Ph.D. Theses of 2025
Include the following documents:
A copy of the doctoral thesis in PDF format and a 2-3 page abstract in English.
The candidate's curriculum vitae (CV) in any format, maximum 5 pages.
Articles directly related to the thesis, published or accepted for publication (with supporting documentation), in journals indexed in the JCR. It is recommended to include the journal's subject area in your CV.
SeMA will select a single candidate from all applications submitted, who will compete with candidates from other ECCOMAS member societies.
The selected thesis author will receive a certificate acknowledging their successful completion of the SeMA selection process, will be invited to participate in the ECCOMAS PhD Olympiad, and will have the opportunity to give an oral presentation at the next Congress on Differential Equations and Applications / Congress on Applied Mathematics, to be held from July 6 to 10, 2026, in Valencia.
Application deadline: February 21, 2026.
SeMA Selection Committee decision: March 12, 2026. SeMA will inform the selected candidate of ECCOMAS's requirements for applying for the award.
ECCOMAS Jury decision: April 25, 2026.
The award will be presented at the 17th World Congress on Computational Mechanics & 10th European Congress on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences and Engineering (WCCM-ECCOMAS 2026), to be held in Munich from July 19 to 24, 2026.
