The commemorative act took place within the II Doctoral Conference of the Doctoral Program in Mathematics and was preceded by two conferences by Juan Calvo Yagüe, winner of the 2016 'Antonio Valle' Young Researcher Award, and Rosa Donat, current president of SeMA.

The event continued with speeches by Francisco Ortegón and Rosa Donat and the screening of the video 'In Memoriam'. Throughout the day, the eight commemorative posters “25th Anniversary of the SeMA” were exhibited in the lobby of the Faculty of Sciences.
